TEKsystems IT Coordinator in Yorktown Heights, New York

Looking to bring on an IT Coordinator to help organize and manage administrative duties within the IT department. This person must be technologically savvy with strong skills in the MS Office suite, exceptional organizational skills, proven customer service skills, strong written/verbal communication skills, and an eagerness to learn new techniques and technologies. Candidate must possess technical ability, initiative, resourcefulness, good judgment, and the ability to think logically. Have sufficient knowledge of components and operations of computers sufficient to assist users in a limited help desk capacity. ITIL and project management knowledge/certification is highly desired.

Duties include, but are not limited to

-Performs support tasks for the Director of IT including managing calendar/meetings, assisting in writing confidential memos and staff performance evaluations

-Manages small-scale technology projects and maintains up-to-date lists of technology projects by receiving, logging, and reviewing project requests

-Compiles monthly IT board reports, analytics/metrics reports, meeting agendas, etc.

-Manages IT inventory, service contracts, plans for replacements, and oversees the acquisition/purchase process

-Schedules and attends technology-related meetings, compiling meeting notes, and following-up on action items as necessary

-Processes staff IT onboarding and offboarding requests, ensuring that related tasks are completed accurately by appropriate team members

-Routes technical requests to appropriate staff on behalf of the Director; reports to the Director on the status of technical requests and projects

-Provides basic helpdesk support (as needed) to users utilizing knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, networks, web technologies, etc

-Makes website updates and/or coordinates with application developers to complete these updates after gathering technical requirements

-Assists with the testing of in-house developed software applications (including OLAS Recruiting and Applicant Tracking)

-Generates/reviews/analyzes department budget reports, and provides input in the budget development process

Skills:

document writing, administrative skills, microsoft office suite, web design

Top Skills Details:

1.) Previous experience in an administrative role (2-5 years)

2.) Experience with web design (not development) - editing text/display on websites, basic UX knowledge

3.) A bachelor's degree in IT or computer science is highly desired (but not mandatory)

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
