White Plains Hospital Talent Development Coordinator in WHITE PLAINS, New York

Title: Talent Development Coordinator Job Code: 700281 Department/Location: Leadership & Talent Development FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: Manager, Talent Management Position Summary Reporting to the Manager, Talent Management, the Talent Development Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and providing administrative and functional support to the Leadership & Talent Development team. The Talent Development Coordinator will coordinate, plan, and support orientation, talent management initiatives, employee engagement and learning, and other leadership development programs. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following: 1. Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors. 2. Work closely with L&TD team to provide project management & coordination support for key projects such as leadership and management programs, talent review, engagement survey, recognition, and others. 3. Coordinate monthly new hire orientation; including schedules, materials and other logistics 4. Develop learning/training content as needed; including guides, workbooks, materials and communications 5. Coordinate training schedules and instructors, space, materials and track attendance and evaluation 6. Ensure timely, proactive and ongoing communication and engagement with program stakeholders (facilitators, managers of participants, etc.) throughout the applicable program/initiative 7. Support/develop communications and tracking of participants for various talent and hospital initiatives 8. Partner with L&TD team in designing and planning of leadership development and hi-potential programs. 9. Performs all other related duties as assigned. Education & Experience Requirements • Required: Bachelor’s degree Human Resources or closely related field • Required: 1-3 years of experience working in HR ideally in a Learning & Development, Talent Management or Organizational Development environment • Preferred: At least 2 years in healthcare Core Competencies • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint, Excel • Excellent customer service skills • Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to be effective in both a group and one-on-one setting • Outstanding listening, oral and written communication skills • High degree of emotional intelligence; team-player who takes ownership • Strong project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines • A demonstrated ability to learn quickly, adapt to a variety of environments, and take responsibility and accountability for projects is also required • Detailed oriented and possess strong organizational skills • Able to deal professionally and efficiently with all staff and all levels of management and external constituencies • Perform multiple duties in a high volume area • Self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently • Creative problem-solving • Flexible, organized and able to assess priorities • Excellent telephone manners and communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills Physical/Mental Demands/Requirements & Work Environment • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time (meeting/event attendance, or at a computer). • Ability to speak clearly and with the volume required to carry on clear conversations in person, over the phone and at public events. • Must be able to travel to and from Main Hospital Campus, Offsite facilities and other event and venue meeting locations.
