Robert Half International Procurement and Operations Specialist in White Plains, New York

Description

 Provide input on purchasing and inventory control operations processes and procedures to ensure business critical processes are kept efficient and streamlined.

 Create documentation and standard operating procedures to support the Finance Department.

 Execute training and communication plans within the department.

 Maintain internal compliance standards within Inventory Control and Distribution processes.

 Identify technical or operational process gaps to limit possibilities of departmental vulnerabilities, ensuring optimal operations and creating full visibility between volume vs. consumption vs. spend correlations. (ex. Cost per Test)

 Internal and external order tracking as well as receiving and invoice reconciliations

 Vendor data collection for pricing negotiating operations, vendor maintenance and contract management assistance.

 Annually update vendor product pricing and routinely verify vendor/product detail information within the current ERP system (ProcureIT).

 Consistent vendor outreach to obtain order status reports, product availabilities, and resolutions for invoice irregularities against their corresponding purchase orders.

 Conduct inventory counts and audits within the stockroom and other labs, when applicable.

 Support the Facilities and Inventory Control teams as added support in times of necessity.

 Monitor or resolve interdepartmental inquiries and requests related to both purchasing and inventory control. Communicate with Inventory Control team requests that require their attention or action.

 Participate in logistics projects and efforts to ensure goal success.

 Strive to become a subject matter expert in concepts in areas of found interest and that directly impact the department or the company.

Requirements

MS Great Plains Dynamics

MS Excel, Procurement

Adequate Inventory experience

Audit inventory experience

Bachelors in Operations, Finance or a related field of study

relevant internships or 1+ years of procurement experience
