Provides and supports regulatory, accreditation and certification activities to achieve and sustain ongoing compliance. Takes action to assure timely and complete preparation, support and follow-up to surveys, reviews and investigations. Represents the organization in interfaces with regulatory and accreditation agencies. Remains current with state and federal regulations and communicates that information within the organization. Works closely with leaders to develop and implement plans to meet new or revised regulations or standards. Collaborates with Performance Improvement and Patient Safety personnel, as well as affiliate and department leaders to promote and maintain compliance.

STATUS:Full Time

LOCATION:St. Marys Campus


SCHEDULE:Monday - Friday, Days


  • Registered Nurse licensure in New York or other health-related field required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other health related field from an accredited educational organization required OR must obtain within three years upon date of hire.

  • Master’s degree in Nursing or other health related field, preferred.

  • Five years of previous Acute/Long Term Care/BHN clinical experience.

  • Experience working with regulatory and accreditation systems (eg. DOH, NYPORTS, TJC, IPRO, OMH).

  • Experience in large group presentation and facilitation.

  • Experience with data analysis and QI/PI preferred.

  • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills


  • Ensures survey readiness every day

  • Plans and implements mock surveys and regulatory audits

  • Assists facilities during plan and unplanned regulatory visits

  • Assists with corrective action plans submission and follow through

  • Oversees the complaint and grievance process

  • Stays up to date on regulation changes, interprets change, keeps department abreast of changes and plans for and implements compliance with these changes

  • Takes lead role in preparing applications, waivers and notifications and related documentation as needed to support strategic goals and objectives

  • Prepares responses for requests for additional information to government agencies


LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONSRN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED); BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

Clinical Ladder

Nurses who advance on our clinical ladder receive a promotion at the bedside through growth in their skillset, a new title and monetary recognition up to $3.00/hour

Rapid Pay Increases

Receive rapid pay increases every six months during the first two years of employment, and annual increases thereafter.

Unlimited Certifications

Nurses earn up to an additional $1.00/hour for each certification earned plus a $1,000 bonus for the first certification earned, and $500 for the second certification.
