Primary Function and Scope:

The Project Manager is the focal point of communication with our customers. The PM is also responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of cross-functional project teams, and ensuring that the team members have everything necessary to accomplish their tasks. The Project Manager is typically responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

  • Plans and executes projects as defined in the proposals/contracts.

  • Develops and maintains schedules and budgets.

  • Controls expenditures within limitations of project budgets.

  • Identifies project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organizations

  • Interfaces with customers to ensure all needs are met.

  • Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team and management.

  • Develops and maintains action item lists.

  • Prepares engineering change orders as required.

  • Coordinates the flow of information to and from the customer the project team.

  • Conducts internal team meetings on a regular basis.

  • Coordinates design review meetings with customers.

  • Interfaces with accounting to ensure that billings are submitted upon achieving relevant milestones.

  • Releases drawings and bills of materials from engineering to manufacturing and purchasing.

  • Tracks parts and expedites as required.

  • Develops and coordinates debug and FAT plans.

  • Coordinates installation, startup and SAT activities at customer site.

  • Ensures that all final project deliverables are delivered.

Position Requirements

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Engineering Degree with 10+ years of project management experience in the Automation Industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of MS office software, including Microsoft Project.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Effective verbal/written communication.. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical drawings. Ability to write reports.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Wide variety of duties requiring considerable judgment to work independently such as adapting or changing to meet new conditions, and making decisions guided by precedent and within established policies.

OTHER: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook. Experience with CAD viewers. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workload. Willing to travel and work overtime if necessary.
