Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will assist with the administration and assessment of policies, programs and procedures relating to all aspects of human resource activity. The Human Resource Generalist will perform professional level human resources work and carries out responsibilities in one or more functional areas, including employee relations, training and development, benefits and compensation, recruiting and onboarding and maintaining personnel records

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assists in the development and maintenance of various policies and procedures.

Assists with planning, scheduling and maintenance of records for various Human Resources projects, meetings and training and development programs.

Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Manages and resolves complex relations issues with HR AVP; conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.

Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

Manage and coordinate HR-related project activity resulting from business unit acquisitions.

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation and leave administration; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.

Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employee and manager personnel.

May assist Recruiter and attend recruitment/job fairs.

Assist with creation and maintenance of job descriptions and employee handbook.

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

HR project management skills

Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects with a high level of effectiveness.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation and critical thinking skills

Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, self-directed, flexible, and adaptable.

PC experience to include Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in spreadsheet applications

Must maintain the highest level of confidentiality

Education and Experience:

At least 3 years of working knowledge of HR systems, processes, trends, and best practices.

Bachelor's degree preferred.

Working knowledge of Human Resources concepts, laws, regulations and legal terminology.

Experience working in high-paced, changing and rapid growth environment

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
