Job Summary:Will collaborate with Radiation Oncology Physicians and Multi-Disciplinary Team to provide care for patients. Working in collaboration with Attending Physicians, the NP/PA will provide comprehensive health assessments, develop plans of care to include medical health histories, physical examinations, facilitate diagnostic work-up and evaluations, analyze diagnostic and laboratory results; incumbent will consult with physicians for abnormal findings as appropriate. NP/PA will provide care for patients seen in follow up and those receiving treatment to include triage, assessment and intervention as appropriate. NP/PA in collaboration with physician will provide prescription orders and refills as appropriate and assist in the clinical review process to facilitate payor authorization as needed. Incumbent will attend conferences and tumor boards and participate in clinical research activities as applicable.
NYS licensed/registered NP or PA required. Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or as a Physician Assistant and current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. CPR Certification required.
Oncology experience preferred.
