Job Summary:Primary responsibilities will include Patient registration including patient check-in, obtaining insurance cards, obtaining signatures on consent forms. Phones including customer service applications, routing calls and messages accurately. Misc duties including mail and fax distribution, and other clerical duties as required. Patient scheduling including patient check-out, answering Calls, copay collection, phone scheduling, ancillary test scheduling, canceling no-shows and canceled appointments in multiple scheduling systems. Experience with EPIC and ambulatory knowledge preferred. Must be willing to learn OR case scheduling in anticipation of future growth of the department, which includes coordination of provider schedules, obtaining insurance authorizations, completing pre-surgical paperwork, and entering data into multiple systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of secretarial/administrative experience or Associate's degree and one year of experience required. Must have excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a clinic/doctors office and knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.
