General Electric Quality Technician in Schenectady, New York

Role Summary:

The Quality Technician will assist area quality engineer to help improve cell quality, helps manufacturing meet engineering requirements, and work on corrective/preventive actions to reduce defects.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Quality Technician you will:

  • Gather and compile customer reports including test documentation

  • Insure data meets engineering requirements

  • Assist quality engineer in there day to day functions

  • Deposition qcr’s with the help of engineering

  • Analyze data to determine trends and make improvements

  • Work with engineering to improve overall process

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university or High School Diploma / GED plus a minimum of 3 years working in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of Manufacturing Shop Floor experience

  • Proven Leadership ability

  • Strong problem solving skills, sound judgment,initiative, and creativity

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, & organizational integration skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering or Business

  • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification or equivalent Quality certification (GEemployees only)
