Niagara County Community College has an immediate need for Entrance Screeners to assist our college with the COVID-19 screening process for our faculty, staff, students and visitors entering NCCC at our Niagara Falls Culinary Institute located in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls.
The responsibilities of this position will consist of reading and taking temperatures of entrants, asking and verifying specific COVID-19 related screening questions. This position will also be responsible for providing entrants with decals signifying access to the campus, masks when needed and will need to contact the Wellness Center as necessary to assess individuals eligibility to enter the campus.
The shifts for these positions are 7am – 1pm or 1pm to 7pm Monday – Friday to a maximum of 28 hours per week.
Typical Work Activities
Must have great communication and customer service skills. Must be able to operate computers; must be able to relate to a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, must be able to physically perform the functions of the position; must be able to work a flexible schedule.
High School diploma or GED. Successful candidates should possess basic computer skills in order to be able to access survey results. Excellent customer service skills and communication skills. Possess the ability to follow direction and follow safety protocols.
Graduated or currently enrolled in a Nursing Program at a 2 year or 4 year institution. Currently licensed as an EMT-B (State or Nationally Registered), or Paramedic, Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant (MA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (NA).
