Detailed Job Description:
Under general objective performs a lead role in the analysis, evaluation, design, testing, configuration, implementation, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, and support of major complex enterprise security solutions for RIT’s global operations.
Performs investigations into the security of services and applications as part of IT risk assessments and security reviews to ensure that appropriate security configurations are in place and effective..
Performs a lead role in the analysis, evaluation, design, testing, configuration, installation, implementation, administration, monitoring, reporting, maintenance, and support of complicated enterprise security solutions and frameworks such as; private information management, security monitoring, security intelligence, vulnerability management, VPN, IPS, IDS, or firewall systems.
Collaborate with Risk Management and Compliance on the operational aspects of related policy and procedures, and to provide for the appropriate flow of information regarding risk treatment within the university.
Performs a lead role in the operational aspects of security incident response, as well as the troubleshooting, support, and root cause analysis for existing security solutions
Acts as an escalation point for and collaborates with peers throughout the institution on technical security matters.
Participates in on-call support for security operations and acts as operational lead to incident manager.
Provides project management for small security projects
Acts as a lead contributor to the identification, creation, and documentation of security processes and procedures.
Provides significant contributions to the strategic technical security direction for the institute.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
5 years min, 8+ years preferred working with medium-large IT environments
