Kelly Services Mold Maker in Rochester, New York

Experienced Mold Maker needed for growing plastics company in Rochester. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift.

Make new parts for existing production molds using hand sketches, blue prints, and cad models. Document necessary information for mold maintenance procedures per EPP standards. Participate in New Job Start up Meetings to give input to best manufacturing process. Understands advanced concepts within professional discipline. Applies knowledge and experience to complex tooling situations. Performs independently and uses experience to guide actions and recommends solutions to complex tooling issues. Mentors less experienced colleagues. - Support the Company s mission, vision and values in performance of daily activities. Troubleshoot and communicate tooling concerns to the customer service, sales, scheduling as well as and upper management team. Determine priorities and implement cost reduction projects; maintain detailed documentation as required. Support process improvement initiatives and activities throughout the plant. Maintain and promote a safe and clean work environment.

Required Skills : Strong leadership and Organizational Skills A minimum of 10 years Mold Building and CNC Mill experience. Knowledge of tooling and machinery associated with tool/mold building. Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software. CAD experience UG, Solid works, Mastercam etc . Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast paced work environment. Ability to visualize and comprehend all aspects of a manufacturing equipment and tooling, understand the relationships of factors affecting a given situation, be attentive to detail, and continually seek to improve work processes.
