SunCommon Commercial Solar Project Planner in Rhinebeck, New York

We are seeking a Commercial Solar Project Planner to join our inspired team in Rhinebeck, NY and play a key role in the effective, safe, and profitable installation of SunCommon s commercial and community solar project pipeline in New York.
As the Commercial Solar Project Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that projects are on budget, on schedule, and exceed our customers expectations. You will plan, permit and ready commercial projects into the installation queue; closely collaborate with Commercial Crew Leads and installation teams; and ensure that all commercial projects are effectively readied with internal and external resources successfully leveraged.
Pay: $60,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience

What you ll do as the Commercial Solar Project Planner:
Support Sales in the development and quoting of Commercial solar systems
Develop construction timelines, secure permits, and develop solutions to keep projects on track
Accurately coordinate details of multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, including accurate, timely documentation and project cost tracking
Serve as a customer point of contact after sale to installation completion
Work effectively with Engineering and Commercial Install Crew Leads
Manage external relationships with customers, permitting agencies, partners and vendors to create successful installations
Coordinate customer invoicing with SunCommon Finance Team; review vendor invoices and change orders
Regularly review and provide input on sales pipeline, operations pipeline, installation schedules and resources
Support SunCommon s Culture. Actively contribute to a positive, enthusiastic, and adaptable team environment. We need to love what we do, work well with our teammates, and appreciate our customers in order to achieve and deliver success.
What s required of you:
Strong commitment to SunCommon s purpose and vision
2+ years of construction project management experience, or recent vocational training in construction management
Familiarity with residential and commercial construction methods
Solar experience is strongly preferred
Tracking and analysis expertise
A Solutions-Oriented Mindset. Able to quickly identify effective, efficient resolutions to challenges. Asks how could we and proposes paths forward
Valid driver s license and flexibility to travel throughout our region, including long hours of driving to work sites
Computer Proficiency. Comfort with Microsoft Office suite, Google, Salesforce, and data management
