The Office of Information Technology at Clarkson University invites applicants to apply for the position of Linux System Administrator. A talented, passionate individual with the skill and desire to contribute to an outstanding IT team. This position provides technical experience as part of a team that proactively monitors, maintains and grows the technical infrastructure that supports the daily operations of the University. The Linux System Administrator reports to the Director of Network Services and Information Security.
Minimum qualifications include completion of secondary education (High School) or equivalent with two to four years of Linux or UNIX system and/or network administration or equivalent education. Administration of a variety of hardware, software, server and network platforms in a production environment. System administration within a virtualization technology and demonstrated use of scripting language native to platform.
