The Promotions Specialist – Optical Channel is responsible for performing and/or overseeing various activities relating to the sales team and customer programs in North America with a specific emphasis on the independent channel. The specialist supports the team in the design of quarterly promotions, sales incentives, and budget management related to these incentives.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support promotional activities by managing the creation of promotion codes within SAP
Design impactful sales tools for promotional incentives using internal resources as well as working with outside agencies
Work closely with Business Development Analyst to support and build promotional reporting inclusive of sales consultant incentives and gift with purchase offers.
Write communications to sales team about promotional incentives
Manage inventory of promotional items, support shipments and work with outside agencies to deliver goods
Manage payment, processing and follow up of promotional incentives within SAP system
Tracks and monitors spend on promotional activities by updating budget files.
Monitor and maintain annual and quarterly program and results in promotional calendar.
Supports sales events in creation promotional tools such as flyers, ordering promotional goods, and promotions.
Supports build out of program documents to be presented to legal teams
Support customer updates within SAP system to ensure customer database is up to date with program and partnership benefits.
Contribute to the development of materials for sales meetings including presentations and leave behind materials
Communication with internal departments promotional value set
Pearle Vision liaison to coordinate transitions and database updates
Light travel when needed
1-2 years of experience working sales operations, promotions, marketing.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively cross-functionally within the organization as well as with external customers.
Strong initiative and sense of urgency – ability to work within the high expectation of the company and team
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise
Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments within the Company.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to forge strong working relationships with internal teams and sales force.
Must be able to think creatively and critically, solve problems and track, analyze and report data effectively
Knowledge of budgeting and financial analysis processes.
Ability to work independently and creatively problem solve.
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
