Fidelus Technologies Unified Communications Collaboration Engineer in New York, New York

The Professional Services team is dedicated to delivering a world-class experience to our clients. Our goal is to successfully implement our solutions which enable our clients to effectively adopt and utilize Unified Communications and Collaboration and Networking solutions over the long-term.

The Collaboration Engineer is detail oriented and flexible while being responsible for delivering the technical requirements of Fidelus' collaboration projects, which include VoIP, Video, Presence, Customer Contact and Collaborative applications. The Collaboration Engineer is client facing and infinitely comfortable having in depth technical conversations with our clients.

Requirements

  • Analyze customer environments; identify and implement solutions and best practices

  • Consult with project team and client to create a project execution plan and independently execute to timely completion

  • Accurately track time spent on all project activities in Project Management system

  • Review Statements of Work for inaccuracies and errors before project kick-off and inform Project Manager of any deviations in methodology or scope from SOW

  • Create and maintain customer-facing documentation as well as internal process templates and documentation

  • Be an active consultant and technical lead on all project activities, including client-facing status calls, and build and maintain a strong customer-focused relationship

  • Provide support for scheduled project activities including overnight implementations

  • Provide cross-training for new and existing technologies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of engineering experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.

  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Collaboration technologies (CUCM, CUC, MRA, SIP/SBC/CUBE, IM&P, Jabber/WebEx Teams

  • Other technology knowledge a plus: Contact Center; SQL; Routing and Switching;

  • Preferred certification or ability to obtain and maintain within 1 year of hire: Cisco CCNP Collaboration; ITIL

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
