Danaher Corporation Tax and Technology Transformation Manager in New York, New York
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate the Tax Technology and Transformation Senior Manager to set the strategic direction for the function and help move strategy into action, including:
Working with Corporate Tax functional leaders, in partnership with Corporate Accounting and IT, to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements that drive key business objectives with a primary focus on how to drive technology innovation in the function
Partnering with Corporate Accounting and IT to develop technology strategies and related technology roadmaps to drive digital tax transformation
Liaising with Accounting and IT project teams to communicate business priorities, translate business requirements into technical requirements and identify appropriate solutions
Negotiating innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs, are consistent with architectural guidelines, and conform to security standards
Partner with global tax team members to drive improvements, including:
Identifying ways to automate manual tasks using existing financial or tax systems and emerging technologies
Consolidating tax data to make analysis and planning more efficient
Improving reporting capabilities to enhance our ability to evaluate risk and capitalize on opportunities
Identifying and supporting technology solutions to help ensure accurate and timely completion of deliverables
Supporting the development and maintenance of tools to collate data

Qualifications & Experience
The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic. The individual must be an independent thinker and self-starter with the bandwidth to multi-task and work on several key projects at a given time. It is important that the individual has superior interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at multiple levels both inside and outside of Danaher.
Other key requirements include:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Finance and/or Tax information technology with demonstrated skills in related technology systems
College Undergraduate, Bachelor’s degree (BA)
Prior working experience in a multi-operating company environment with proven experience leading large-scale projects or teams.
Collaborative team player who demonstrates flexibility and can-do attitude as part of a motivated, high-performance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Ability to partner effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority to promote alignment and gain consensus.
Demonstrated ability to answer technical questions for non-technical users and explain things in a way that a business associate will understand.
Excellent communication and business writing skills
Natural flare for problem solving and entrepreneurial approach to work
Strong organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
Experience managing large, multi-disciplinary projects
Experience working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools
Demonstrated ability to implement and sustain robotic process automation (RPA) tools
