During your internship at Arup, you’ll have the chance to work with some of the most highly respected engineers and specialists in the world. Responsibilities of this specific role will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Assist the Project Manager (PM) in implementation of project specific cost control processes to ensure project profitability and other commercial goals are met

• Assist in contract review and assessment.

• Track actual costs against budgets, conduct variance analyses,

• Assist with reporting of project financials

• Assist in monitoring, managing and administering scope changes; maintaining change and risk registers, issuing fee proposals; manage contract change orders

• Assist in preparation and issuing of monthly client invoices and monitor accounts receivable

• Assist in preparation of various monthly client reports;

• Assist in sub-consultant management including tracking costs, and reviewing invoices and payments

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in in Construction Management, Accounting Engineering, Architecture degree or Planning

• Minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher

• Must not require sponsorship, now or in the future to be considered for this role

• Interest in the built environment

• General knowledge of commercial management and experience in contractual matters preferred

• Interest in project management

• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize effectively and manage deadlines; highly organized

• Ability to work across disciplines

• Must not require sponsorship, now or in the future to be considered for this role

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Construction Management, Accounting, Engineering degree, Architecture degree or Planning degree or MBA

• 3.5 GPA or higher

• Experience in the built environment

• Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (i.e., powerbi, tableau, etc…)

• Advanced Knowledge of Excel, data manipulation and spreadsheet design to communicate results

• Experience in P6

• Skills: Sql, VBA
