As a Pathways Analyst, you will be placed in a role based on professional experience and business priorities, focused on one of a few areas including: Asset & Wealth Management, Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, and Corporate & Investment Banking.
To ensure continuous development throughout the program, each candidate will receive mentorship, guidance, and support from your individual manager, program manager, veteran sponsor and many other influential business partners across the firm.
In addition to your business role responsibilities, as a Pathways member you will participate in training programs, learning sessions, individual mentoring relationships, and networking events. You will interact with JP Morgan Chase & Co. senior management and partner with a military veteran sponsor who will assist you with the transition from military life into our organization. You can also become a member of our Veteran’s Business Resource Group, an employee group that supports veteran causes. And of course, you will have the strong support network of your fellow military veteran colleagues. The cohort format of Pathways will provide you with a network of peers to share experiences and a sense of community amongst fellow veterans as you contribute to a business area aligned to your skillset.
Custody and Fund Services – ROLE
CIB Custody and Fund Services (CFS) Product Development defines, develops, delivers, and maintains market leading CFS products that enhance client satisfaction, support sustainable business growth and deliver positive shareholder value add (SVA), enabling J.P. Morgan CFS to be the provider of choice for Custody & Fund Services to large, global asset owners and asset managers.
The Custody and Fund Services Complex Change Team is responsible for the end to end definition and execution of complex change and demand management across all facets of the Custody and Fund Services (CFS) business. The team sits within the CFS Product Development organisation. The role affords the candidate with exposure to leadership across the CIB organization. This Change Project Manager role is for an associate based in New York and will report to the Global Change Lead who is looking for a dynamic, well rounded, self-starter to add immediate value to this high performing team.
Program management & delivery of client change projects with significant scale and complexity, across multiple CFS products. Responsibilities include:
Scoping program of work
Creating and maintaining key project artefacts – charter, RAID log, action list, project plan
Running the day to day projects – leading working groups, chairing solution sessions, issue resolution, escalation of key risks & issues, maintaining project reporting
Representing the CFS business in firm-wide initiatives/programs of work
Controls: Ensure appropriate adherence to Risk and Control policy, that models implemented account for operational risk, and puts appropriate risk mitigation in place
Design: delivering well-designed end to end solutions
Partner with Product Development, Operations, Technology Leads (POTL) to drive strategy and delivery change across the CFS suite of products
Enthusiasm & Influence: proven ability to drive and influence change within an operations and technology environment
Organization & Planning : proven ability to track and monitor multiple deliverables and give clarity and direction to all involved parties
Governance: To instil clear governance models for change Programs including demand management, across business lines and functional partners, leveraging best practice in place
Interested Candidates must be a United States Veteran and meet all requirements
Enlisted/Junior Officer background and 4+ years of experience
0-5 years of separation from military service
Military leadership experience, typically achieved through 4+ years as a Commissioned or 5+ years as a Non-Commissioned Officer in any branch of service with a demonstrated record of success
Demonstrated learning agility
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Forward thinking and able to work through complex and unpredictable circumstances
Ability to adapt to change and achieve positive business outcomes
Strong analytical / quantitative skills, using programs such as Microsoft Office (particularly EXCEL and PowerPoint)
Experience with system and process design, Target Operating Models, including use of Visio
Banking and Financial Services experience
Accountability: Ultimately accountable for project delivery – Program definition, planning and execution – also needs to hold others to account for their components of delivery
Strong track record of project delivery, and good project discipline - Project and Program management skills
Must be available to start April, 2019.
