Milliman Medicare Advantage Consulting Actuary in New York, New York

Job description

The New York Health Practice is looking for an experienced health care actuary to manage projects and relationships to a diverse and expanding client base. Candidates with knowledge of Medicare Advantage bid submissions will be given preference.

Responsibilities


Develop and apply actuarial models to diverse client situations
Lead projects involving development of Medicare Advantage and Part D bids
Assist in training and management of staff
Manage client projects and relationships
Financial management of client relationship
Assist in developing new business

Experience


Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience
Experience with Medicare Advantage bid preparations/desk review required

Requirements


FSA
Technical proficiency in all aspects of health care actuarial practice including pricing, reserving, and data reporting
Experience in prioritizing and completing multiple projects and tasks
Strong communication skills including oral presentations and written reports
Knowledge of and experience with all aspects of the health care market place
Proficiency with spreadsheets and database applications
High degree of self motivation
