We’re looking to expand our offerings in 2021 to include Data Analytics and we’re looking for a passionate Data professional who would be inspired to create a top-tier curriculum and experience for students looking for fulfilling careers in Data.

About the Role

As the Lead Instructor for our Data Analytics program, you will own the design, build and launch of the curriculum for our new part-time Data Analytics immersive education program, covering topics such as: Analytics in Excel; Analytics in Python; Databases; Data Visualization; and other advanced topics, culminating in a practical final project.

The role will evolve over time, matching the milestones of launching the new program:

  • In your first 6 months - you will lead the design and buildout of our new Data Analytics curriculum along with our curriculum development team

  • In your next 6 months - you will serve as the first Instructor for our first cohort, teaching the curriculum you’ve built part-time and iterating the Data Analytics curriculum based on your experience

  • After your first year - your role will focus 100% on continuously improving and iterating on the Data Analytics curriculum, ensuring we provide students with skills they need to launch fulfilling Data Analytics careers

While Fullstack Academy is currently working 100% remotely for the foreseeable future, this role is based out of our New York City Headquarters and reports to the Product Owner.


In this role you will:

  • Lead a cross-functional team to design and build Fullstack’s new Data Analytics curriculum from the ground up.

  • Design the course learning objectives (CLOs) and the curriculum framework

  • Lead and manage the Curriculum team to build the instructional content (including workshops and lecture videos) and assist with instructional tool development.

  • Lead instruction for our first part-time Data Analytics cohort, at one of our university partners (delivered nights and weekends remotely), including lectures, activity based learning, and working with students 1x1

  • Create a positive, professional, and inclusive learning environment for our students to ensure an exceptional student experience that engages, inspires and prepares students for their careers as Data Analysts

  • Support the recruiting and interviewing of prospective Data Analytics instructors (and instructional associates) at our university locations, and lead onboarding/training of them

  • Collaborate across teams to ensure that student feedback is heard and that the organization responds properly

  • Proactively identify areas of improvement within the student experience, curriculum, instructional support, and communicate with Program leadership about ongoing successes and challenges.

  • Routinely partner with Team Lead(s) across other Fullstack programs to cross-pollinate best practices that will elevate all program


You are a great candidate if you have:

  • 3+ years of data analytics work and/or teaching experience

  • 1+ years of experience teaching in a bootcamp environment

  • Experience creating formal learning content, from lesson plans, classroom presentations, etc.

  • The desire to create a brand-new, world-class Data Analytics program from the ground up, operating with a high degree of ownership and independence

  • The desire to work in a fast-paced, “startup within a larger company” environment

  • Engaging presentation skills, particularly when it comes to complex technical information

  • A love of data analytics and education, and a passion for growing the careers of a diverse new generation of data analytics professionals
