Overview

The Human Resource Clerk is responsible for performing filing HR-related documents. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: filing personnel files, HR bi-weekly tickler, ID card management, assists in audits, department invoices

Responsibilities
  • Maintains all confidential employee personnel documents and benefit folders as well as filing all relevant personnel including FMLA and Workers Compensation files;
  • Maintain clean file room and Personnel Management System;
  • Assist with reviews personnel files for internal and external audits; compiles reports of missing and/or incomplete items, follows up to obtain missing information. Supplies the QA department with staff listings and all necessary audit documents including personnel files, copies of employment and educational verifications, copies of degrees if necessary;
  • Copies, scans and files paperwork processed in the bi-weekly tickler;
  • Maintains the ID database. Issues replacement swipe cards for lost or damaged cards;
  • Assist Human Resource staff with faxing, copying and distribution of relevant materials;
  • Processing department invoices;
  • Performs related duties as assigned
Qualifications

HS Graduate or equivalent with 2 years’ experience; Associate’s degree plus 1 year of Human Resources related experience
