Reporting to the Education Initiatives Manager on the University Recruiting Diversity team, the Education Program Manager will help us grow and scale our university education programs and diversity efforts across North America. This individual will be responsible to implement strategies to dramatically scale our flagship Engineer in Residence program on-campus, in-region, or online. Additionally, this individual will help to strategically identify and implement new education programs, partnerships, and/or products for the higher education audience with clear metrics of success in service of widening the pool of underrepresented minority and female talent to help increase diversity in tech. The successful candidate will be entrepreneurial and thrive on navigating ambiguity and tackling complex problems head-on. They will be comfortable working in a rapidly changing and results-driven environment, and demonstrate ability to leverage data to inform decisions, build and standardize processes that scale, and cultivate best-in-class program brand. They will have experience building strong relationships and leading others to achieve individual and group goals while personally demonstrating ability to prioritize effectively, multi-task, and follow-through in service of internal and external cross-functional partners.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead from vision to execution strategies to dramatically scale existing computer science education initiatives, including the Engineer in Residence program, and/or pilot new programs at campuses across North America and through online remote learning opportunities

  2. Oversee the bundling of Facebook-developed computer science education curricula as a product and develop activation strategies with universities, non-profit and industry partners to drive adoption

  3. Drive improvements to existing Engineer in Residence program operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and people operations processes for Facebook engineers selected to teach undergraduate computer science courses

  4. Lead a team of more than 3 Engineers in Residence and work closely with recruiters and employee resource groups to build pipelines of diverse talent for Facebook University Recruiting

  5. Monitor, analyze, and report on program/product KPIs to support strategic decision-making and ensure initiatives are driving program growth and impact

  6. Drive internal communication strategy to share key findings to stakeholders across the business, including recruiting, engineering, partnerships, and diversity

  7. Create project plans and timelines to ensure the programs are delivered smoothly, on a day to day basis and within budget

  8. identify, assess and minimize projects risks until successful project completion

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS degree

  2. 4+ years of work experience with programs, project, or product management experience in the education, non-profit, or technology sector

  3. 2+ years of work experience in supporting diversity or education initiatives

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong strategic thinker with experience defining, developing, assessing and refining programs and partnerships based on incoming data and feedback in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

  2. Creative and empathetic thinker who can understand the views, values, and perspectives of diverse communities

  3. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience developing influential working relationships that lead to outcomes with a variety of audiences, including those over whom you lack positional authority

  4. Program, project, or product management subject matter expertise demonstrated through experience leading multiple complex, time-sensitive, cross-functional projects within a project management system that result in measurable results and program growth

  5. Experience with instructional methodologies, educational tools and techniques, and their appropriate application. Demonstrated experience teaching, coaching, or managing team members, resulting in positive growth for individuals and the team as a whole

  6. Highly motivated, flexible, proactive, and responsible with a customer-service mindset

  7. Experience working in an agile setting
