As a strategist in the Global Markets Division, you will play an integral role on the trading floor. You may create quantitative models to uncover unseen trends in markets, use statistical tools to assist clients in analyzing their portfolios and analyze data to help shape product development decisions and business strategy. Throughout the Global Markets Division, strategists are using quantitative and technological techniques to solve complex business problems.

The Marquee Sales Strats Team
The Marquee Sales Strats team performs quantitative and other analysis, working with tools, models and data to help provide insights on market and Marquee’s platform trends. The team includes experts in financial markets and products, structuring, technology and data analysis. We work with Sales, Trading, Engineering, Product, Design, other areas of the Global Markets Division and with clients.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
As a Marquee Data Science Analyst, you will use modern technologies such as Apache Airflow, Apache Superset and Presto to analyze trends and patterns in large datasets. Combining data analysis and software development, you will be a key individual in providing insights to the risks and performance of the Marquee platform. Sales, Product, Engineering and Design teams will depend on your analysis to inform their views of Marquee’s performance and what is driving client engagement within our platform.

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field: Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering
Excellent programming skills in a major programming language (e.g. Python, Java, C++)
Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch, Hadoop)
Experience designing scalable and reliable systems, with a focus on APIs
Sound basic quantitative and mathematical skills with an interest in data science
Clear, critical thinking; concise writing skills; excellent communication skills
