Citigroup Corporate Philanthropy Analyst - AVP in New York, New York

Global Public Affairs seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand across the world through direct and indirect communication with Citi’s various stakeholders. The Corporate Philanthropy Assistant Vice President will work with a high-performing team and will be responsible to assist in important philanthropic initiatives for Senior Management at Citigroup headquarters in New York City. This role will interact with internal stakeholders within and outside the Global Public Affairs team in the US and internationally. The individual must have excellent organizational and analytical skills, superior verbal and written communications skills with a tactful diplomatic approach. Policy governance experience will be useful. Corporate Philanthropy Key Responsibilities: Manage the annual Charitable Contributions Policy Review, revising Policy, Standards and Procedures and working with Citi Charitable Coordinators to update, review, approve and post on the Policy Directory.  Work with the technology teams to upgrade the charitable approval process and update submitter and approver changes. Review Charitable Contributions submissions on a monthly basis for Policy breaches, and monitor, test and track Charitable Contributions controls quarterly. Provide process training to Charitable Contributions submitters. Prepare Charitable Contributions Quarterly Calls materials with the Charitable Coordinators and associated experts in Legal, Compliance and the Businesses. Prepare bi-annual reconciliations for Citi’s Global Functions Charitable Contributions. Assist with Compliance and Internal Audit requests. Other Responsibilities: Assist with the Citi Journalistic Excellence Awards as Citi’s Global Coordinator. Special Projects include Charitable Event management and the Global Public Affairs Offsite preparation. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or related field. 3+ years’ experience in corporate communications or a charitable foundation, with senior executive interaction. Understanding of Charitable Not-for-Profits from a corporate philanthropy perspective. Publishing experience with proof reading and editing preferred.
