JPMorgan Chase Consumer & Business Banking Communications, Sr Associate in New York, New York

Chase's Consumer & Business Banking Communications team is looking for an experienced communications professional to provide external communications and media relations support for Chase Consumer & Business Banking. The role will report to head of Consumer & Business Banking PR and join a national team that manages internal, executive, external and social media communications - and will work closely with peers across the lines of business that support small business owners.

Chase Consumer Banking, which serves around 25 million checking households with more than $600 billion in deposits. The business's more than 50,000 employees serve clients through approximately 4,700 branches in 38 states and the District of Columbia, about 16,000 ATMs, mobile, online and phone. Chase Business Banking provides deposit, credit and cash management services to companies with up to approximately $20 million in annual revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage external communications and media relations for Chase Business Banking and Chase Consumer Banking.

  • Serve as a communications partner to marketing and brand colleagues, communications peers in Commercial Banking, and the Corporate Responsibility team to support marketing and communications efforts.

  • Develop and implement creative and dynamic communications plans that will reach target audiences using a wide range of channels, including earned media, social media, marketing partnerships, events and internal channels.

  • Create written, verbal and digital content that effectively communicates how Chase supports small businesses and is the easiest bank for businesses of all sizes to work with.

  • Manage our PR agency of record to plan and implement communications projects.

  • Continually measure the impact of communications, and keep a pulse of financial and small business trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of professional experience, including hands-on external communications

  • Strategic thinker

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and be a collaborative team player

  • Strong writer

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; sound judgment and strong collaborative decision-making skills combined

  • Commitment to exemplifying the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence

  • Direct experience with communicating with management leadership teams

  • Experience in creating innovative communications strategies

Preferred skills:

  • Advanced written and verbal communications skills

  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Understanding the use of social media and its effectiveness

  • Ability to manage several tasks and objectives simultaneously

  • Ability to think creatively, identify and solve problems

  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment

  • Ideal to have experience representing a big brand
