Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

The Position

This executive will report to the Head of COO Finance for Wells Fargo and will develop and implement operational initiatives that will support the COO Finance organization. Primary responsibilities will be to develop and implement:

  • HR Analytics Reporting for the COO Finance Organization

  • Automated and digitized reporting

  • A data model and repository for Finance information

  • Low/no code tools to simplify and automate businesses processes

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor and aid in establishing the operations architecture for the COO Finance organization. The role includes initiatives focused on analytics, data management and reporting. S/he must be a strategic thinker and help guide the future direction of the organization. S/he will:

  • Partner with management and strategic partners to execute significant business initiatives including prioritization and budgeting of identified areas for investment. Create one model for driving priorities across the organization.

  • Drive accountability across all support partners including Technology, Risk, Legal, HR, Corporate Properties, Communications, etc. Define an infrastructure strategy to keep pace with the growth of the business and regulatory requirements.

  • Partner with other Finance teams on business architecture.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of leadership experience

  • 12+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management

  • Ability to influence executive decision-making and successfully negotiate critical issue resolution related to program initiatives

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Knowledge and understanding of strategic planning and execution

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience architecting business infrastructures and driving operational initiatives to completion.

  • Experience with analytics, data management and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead change, develop cutting edge, innovative solutions, build effective partnerships, and manage cross-functional projects in a matrixed organization

  • Experience with cost benefit analysis on projects/initiatives

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proven ability to coherently present complex topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions in order to create understanding and influence decisions

  • Must have sound business judgment, and the ability to challenge business decisions when necessary.

  • Experience in problem analysis, solution implementation, and change management

  • Management experience in a large corporate, multi-line business organization

  • Experience leading efforts with multiple stakeholder groups
