Job Title

Audio Engineer

Reports to

Operations Manager


The Audio Engineer is responsible for the overall technical understanding of the technology services we offer our clients and building a team of highly competent technicians with the goal to maximize revenue by providing excellent products and technical support.


  • Ensure all audio equipment is prepped utilizing our quality assurance protocol sheets to maintain a consistent quality standard by testing and troubleshooting equipment regularly and repairing faulty components.

  • Collaborating and networking with other audio engineers and professionals in the field.

  • Participating in training opportunities and constantly finding new ways to improve skills.

  • Provide training on new & current equipment to relevant company personnel depending on department needs/requirements

  • Audio engineer advises Senior Management on new equipment purchases based on latest industry trends and new products.

  • Consulting and education to staff and clients in the use of sound equipment choices and the need for understanding the production and postproduction challenges.

  • Communicating with clients and coordinating with other staff members to ensure deadlines are met and projects are completed to specifications.

  • Setting up equipment safely and on time.

  • Assist checkout coordinators with support for customers? technical needs during checkouts and preps.

  • Supervise all dept. repairs and new equipment acquisition

  • Responsible for the transfer of overflowing equipment to and from our two warehouses to maintain adequate inventory levels

  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment

  • Other responsibilities as determined by management.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate in audio technology or similar certification

  • Understanding of specialty tools and their implementation

  • Practical experience with sound equipment.

  • Professional self-starter with a growth mindset.

  • Strong relationship building skills a necessity

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Must be computer literate, knowledge of Excel and Outlook.

  • Bench tech experience preferred
