Hines Assistant Facilities Manager (Hines@Amazon) in New York, New York

As an Assistant Facilities Manager with Hines, you will act in a supporting role for a client's operations, take ownership of certain elements of the facilities operations scope of work, run projects, and provide response and coordination of resolution for specific requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the relationships with key internal and external vendor partners (Reception, Janitorial, Security, Engineering services); ensuring the client’s procedures/processes are intact. Ensure that all service deliverables meet Amazon GREF expectations

  • Support accounting team with efforts to code, approve, and pay invoices according to terms of contract. Use budget provided to create and manage site Purchase

  • Orders, using the Purchase Order Sharepoint portal according to vendor contract terms.

  • Manage the launch of new site(s)/floor expansions and liaise with the customer on site. Deliver information concerning project progress to the site FM or client manager when appropriate

  • Post Occupancy Projects; oversee the scope, assist vendor partners with on-site support/moves, and liaise with the customer on site to deliver information concerning Post Occupancy Projects and project progress

  • Utilize the trouble ticketing (TT) system to identify and report all trends and issues requiring discussion and review to the on-site Facility Manager

  • Facilitate resolution of all facilities operations challenges and bring forth solutions

  • Foster the daily connection between the Facilities team and the on-site business unit representative(s)

  • Mentor and coach Facilities Coordinators. In the absence of a site Facilities Manager, perform additional duties as assigned by Regional Facility Manager

  • Complete building inspections weekly

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field from an accredited institution

  • Two or more years professional work experience, with supervisory experience strongly preferred

  • P&L responsibility and budgetary experience

  • Strong initiative and customer service orientation
