The Position:

Analyst, Risk Management and Insurance

The Role:

The Analyst, Risk Management and Insurance has primary responsibility for the renewals of S&P Global s Fidelity Bond, Non-owned Aviation, Surety bonds, Workers Compensation State Fund and International Casualty policies. Compile underwriting data, review existing coverage, recommend coverage changes based on industry best practices and exposures of the company, manage deliverable's from brokers, review quotes, binders and policies, and build relationships with key insurers

  • Assist the Vice-President and Manager with the Property, Casualty, Umbrella Liability, Errors & Omissions Liability, Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary Liability and Cyber-risk renewals with development opportunities to lead the Casualty, Umbrella and Fiduciary Liability renewals in the future

  • Assist with non-casualty claims which includes legal expense and reimbursement tracking, and liaising with Legal and outside counsel on insurer requests

    • Casualty claims:*

    Manage Aon s work in the reporting and settlement of Workers Compensation, Automobile Liability and General Liability claims. Liaise with our TPA, HR, Payroll and Real Estate to obtain relevant data related to the claims

    • Manage - coordinate Certificate of Insurance and auto ID requests - issuance
  • Maintain department records such as policy record, loss reserve balance, invoice log

    • Review - provide insurance requirements in vendor and client contracts
  • Assist with the integration of acquired entities into S&P Global s insurance programs

  • Provide data for the insurer s audit of our Casualty program and Casualty actuarial loss review

  • Coordinate with Real Estate and insurers on property loss control visits and monitor responses to insurer recommendations

  • Other projects, assignments and assistance as requested by Senior Director

Knowledge & experience:

  • Bachelor s Degree required

  • 2 years of risk management, underwriting or brokerage experience preferred

  • ARM or CPCU designation a plus

  • Must be organized, team contributor and customer-focused to foster working relationships with others

  • Strong interest in learning and developing skills

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
