Hanover Bank Operations Administrator Officer in Mineola, New York


Hanover Bank is seeking a Operations Administrator Officer for a full time position. In this role, the Operations Administrator Officer will work with the Deposit Operations Supervisor to review and process various daily work for retail and deposit banking operations. This includes the following areas of activity: Deposits, ATM/Debit Cards, CIF, ATMs, eBanking, ACH and Exception Item Processing.

Initiate and process the following; wire transfers, FRB returned items, GL reconcilements, and other activity as needed. Provide support to Retail Banking, Finance & Lending Areas, and other areas of the Bank as needed. Assist with maintaining operating procedures. Provide customer service support to customer calls coming into the support line.


  • Verify and release outgoing/incoming wire transfers through WireXchange.

  • Reconcile daily general ledger balance for ATM processing.

  • Reconcile daily general ledger balances for Deposit Operations.

  • Process Insufficient & Uncollected Funds? decisions made by Branch Management.

  • Research and process non-post transactions daily.

  • Set up business online banking customers according to documentation completed by branch personnel.

  • Perform required research for online banking, bill pay, TransferNow, Remote Deposit Capture, and Zelle transactions.

  • Update policy and procedures relating to the Deposit Operations Department.

  • Process and document all Reg. E claims.

  • Process deposit customers? change of address requests.

  • Monitor and reconcile dormant account activity.

  • Review all IRA account functions related to the Back Office Operations Department. e.g. 5498s, RMD notifications, annual statements, etc.

  • Respond to Lending Department requests to place/release monetary holds.

  • Manage the annual Escheatment Report

  • Manage the legal requests requiring Deposit or Retail Operations input.

  • Transmit interest on IOLA accounts to the New York State IOLA Fund on a quarterly basis.

  • Transmit withholding to the IRS as needed.

  • Assist Retail Banking in resolving any transaction problems related to Fiserv.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures, as applicable.

  • Provide support for other projects and tasks as requested.

Salary will commensurate with experience.

The position is located at 80 East Jericho Turnpike, Mineola, NY 11501.
