Supervisor Technical Services - 1st Shift Wed-Sun

  • Support the manager in the execution of the daily manufacturing schedule and manage the employees assigned to the execution of the manufacturing plan while operating within all regulatory and Company guidelines

Flexible to support off-shift work when needed

Strategic responsibility: execute the manufacturing schedule - 60 %

Oversee the output and work practices of all assigned employees to insure procedures are followed, accurate batch records are kept and the work areas are maintained in compliance with good manufacturing practices (cGMPs);

Monitor that internal safety and OSHA guidelines are followed such as standard operation procedures (SOPs), personal protective equipment policies (PPE), Lockout/Tag out (LOTO), Machine Guarding, etc.;

Work closely with manager for reworking batches for successful outcomes;

Assist manager with the execution of investigations for Out of Specification (OOS) batches;

Understand aseptic techniques applied during micro-sensitive manufacturing;

In conjunction with the manager, ensure training records are maintained and kept up to date.

Planning and scheduling responsibilities - 30 %

Assist manager with the manufacturing plan and optimization of equipment utilization by understanding workflow to align the labor resources;

Problem solving: work closely with manager to evaluate situations; trouble shoot equipment process and system issues;

Monitor and recommend daily scheduling changes;

Assist manager to review and close process orders in SAP.

Personnel and Interdepartmental Responsibilities - 10 %

Exercise good communication skills to exchange complex information; capable of clear written and verbal communications with direct reports, peers, other departments and management;

Promote employee motivation and engagement;

Accountable to T/S Department: must ensure quality of services.

Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineering degree is preferred

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills

  • Experienced in a manufacturing environment with a desire and ability to lead people

  • Familiarity in a controlled manufacturing environment (over-the-counter drugs) is a plus

Knowledge of MS Office and SAP applications preferred

1 year experience preferred
