Principal Associate, Deposit Escrow Services - Melville, NY
A Principal Associate within the Commercial Bank’s Payment Operations organization, you will be responsible for the daily leadership and oversight of the Sub Accounting Services team. This team supports the implementations, daily deposits and withdrawals and maintenance of all products within Escrow servicing. (These include, Tenant Security, Attorney Escrow, IOLTA, and 1031 Exchanges). You will focus on driving the achievement of individual, team and business metric goals. In addition, you will be responsible for proactive collaboration and partnership with key business stakeholders. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop strategies in a fast paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
oResponsible for leadership of 7-9 associates at our Melville Location.
oWorks with partner groups within Sub accounting services, such as TM Sales, TM Product, IRS Regulatory/Compliance, and Risk to drive process change and problem solve complex issues.
oAnalyzes and evaluates operational procedures, recommends and implements modifications to improve and simplify quality and efficiency.
oAbility to work in a rapidly changing environments where priorities may shift immediately.
oRecommends process improvements with the team and department and may represent product or process area on projects of a cross-functional/cross location scale.
oActs to ensure all service levels are met/exceeded
o*Manages departments audit remediation efforts including establishing controls and securing approvals.
oAssists operations in executing departments business continuity tasks during Disaster Recovery
oCompiles operations metrics for the Monthly Business Review
oPerforms periodic self-audits to ensure compliance with internal and external procedures/regulatory requirements.
oBachelor’s degree or Military Experience
oAt least 1 year of people management experience
oAt least 1 year of experience in Banking Operations
oAt least 2 years of people management experience
oAt least 3 years of experience in Banking Operations
oAt least 2 years of budget management experience
oAt least 1 year experience with LEAN
oAt least 1 year experience with Six Sigma management methodology.
