Maintenance Mechanic

Kelly Services is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic Warehouse Associate who is reliable, hardworking and ambitious. Employee must understand, support and execute all work in safe manner and supply to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority. Must be able to comprehend and follow written work instructions.

PAY RATE:

$19.00 p/h

HOURS:

7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

LOCATION:

Macedon – Berry/Pliant-Specialty Films Division

START DATE :

ASAP (Able to work overtime holidays as required)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes

  • Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and perform all tasks following established safety and maintenance procedures.

  • Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment, such as switches, relays and circuit breaker panels.

  • Estimate materials, time and resources needed to complete required tasks.

  • Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts.

  • Enter in all work through CMMS system and complete all assignments as directed by supervisor.

  • Install conduit and pull wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.

  • Communicate with supervisor about on-going issues and ability to provide resolution with proper documentation and root cause analysis.

  • Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.

  • Complete all required safety work orders and report back to supervisor upon completion

  • Join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits.

  • Follow all safety guidelines set forth by department, plant and Berry Global.

  • Test completion of circuits using test equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems and remove and replace faulty parts.

  • Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes and perform all tasks following established safety and maintenance procedures.

  • Connect electrical power to sound and visual communication equipment, alarms, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems.

  • Estimate materials, time and resources needed to complete required tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years industrial electrical maintenance or relative experience

  • Able to read blueprints, schematics, specifications and building plans.

  • Must have good theoretical and applied understanding of electrical theory including PLC s and ladder logic, mechanical theory and the manufacturing process.

  • Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.

  • Able to lead, coach, guide and teach trouble-shooting and basic electrical knowledge to lesser skilled maintenance co-workers.

  • Able to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.

  • Requires attention to detail.

  • Capable of and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedure

  • Follows Codes of Safe Work Practices for all work performed.

  • Good communication and organizational skills

  • Good mathematical skills.

  • Must provide personal hand tools
