The Content Producer/Editor will support the Corporate Communications team's mission to raise awareness of and strengthen the AUSA brand with internal and external audiences through highly creative and engaging digital content. Reporting to the Executive Producer of Corporate Communications, this individual will serve as a member of a full-service production team for all of the Communications projects. S/he will play a key role in all areas of digital media content production including video editing, shooting, graphic design, photography and live event production.
This roll will be based out of our offices in Woodbury, NY and will be required to commute to locations for production-related work in Long Island City (corporate headquarters) and throughout the Tri-State area, as needed.
NOTE: Currently, this role is assigned to work remotely to ensure the health and safety of our employees and facilities with some exceptions.
Collaborate with the Executive Producer, Production and Communications teams to produce, shoot & edit original content for Corporate Communications initiatives across all distribution platforms
With the help of Communications team members who support various parts of the business, create digital media content that tells compelling visual stories around our products and services, key businesses initiatives and other programs; examples will include shooting & editing "docu-style" video stories, product awareness/promotional videos, social media content, multi-camera live-event production, audio recording, etc.
Play a leading role in helping to create a standard for digital content creation that reflects a modern, best-in-class operation and corporate brand.
Contribute new ideas and champion best practices across the entire Communications organization and the AUSA business as a whole, where appropriate.
Participate in the development of a thriving, inclusive culture throughout the Communications team and wider organization.

At least five years of professional editing experience either in broadcast television, agency or corporate setting; expert in Adobe Creative Suite and other leading design software.
Experienced shooter, proficient with DSLR and Broadcast HD Cameras. Knowledge of advanced shooting concepts and principles (shot composition, framing and lighting)
Knowledge of audio recording and post-production mixing techniques. Knowledge of ENG/field audio recording techniques and principles.
Familiar and proficient with basic lighting principles and techniques. Working knowledge of field and studio lighting equipment
Successful track record of managing projects both independently and as part of a team; a knowhow for translating the complex and obtuse in an easily understandable way through art and design.
Firm understanding of best practices for modern communications and visual design as it relates to the use of content, digital channels, websites, video animations, etc.
Possess: endless curiosity about his/her craft as well as trends influencing business and culture; a can-do attitude; an appreciation for the importance of the team, a strong worth ethic; a good sense of humor.
