Native Pride Diner Restaurant General Manager in Irving, New York

FT: Irving, NY Restaurant General Manager
Job Summary: Maintaining the restaurant's revenue, profitability and quality goals. Ensures efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.

Essential Functions:
Manages activities of restaurant personnel (front and back house), to ensure prompt and courteous service to guests.
Staff scheduling of both front of house and back of house staff.
Overall responsibility for neatness and cleanliness of dining rooms, kitchen, tables, and serving stations.
Requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations.
Handles guest/staff concerns.
Oversees menu planning.
Responsible for overseeing daily/shift cashier checkout process.
Oversees or performs food inventory ordering and monthly inventory process.
Work with Operations Manager and other staff to handle hiring, progressive discipline, and terminations.
Participate in annual performance reviews with staff.
Exercises independent judgment and makes decisions with some existing guidelines.
Train and mentor front and back house staff.

Qualifications Standards:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
5+ year experience in restaurant management
Proficiency or trainable to proficient level in operating restaurant software system
Excellent customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to delegate

Physical Requirements:
Standing for extended periods of time
Able to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, use stairs, reach, pull and lift up to 25+ pounds with or without accommodation
