EAC Network seeks President & CEO for EAC Network. Position is located in Administrative office in Hempstead, NY. The position is full time, Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM with excellent benefits medical/dental/401K and very generous Paid Time Off (PTO).

Primary Purpose of Job:

The President & CEO will work collaboratively with the Board of Directors and the dedicated EAC Network professionals in providing its diverse and important programs, increasing its impact, as well as developing and delivering a compelling long-term vision. Specifically, the President & CEO will be a visionary and inspiring leader who will maximize EAC’s impact, increase the visibility of its exemplary services and programming, and strategically build upon EAC Network’s long history of success.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

Leadership & Executive Management

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for EAC in service of its mission and to lead the organization into its next phase of development, growth and impact.

  • Serve as both the internal and external leader of EAC.

  • Will be a highly visible thought leader and EAC’s ambassador in the community, politically, in the media, with partner organizations, civic leaders and with potential funders.

  • Utilize network and PR skills to ensure the EAC story and vision is consistently being told locally and nationally.

  • Collaborate with the board to refine and implement the strategic plan and while ensuring that the budget, staff, and priorities are aligned with EAC’s core mission.

  • Develop a diverse and inclusive Board representative of the EAC community that is highly engaged and willing to leverage and secure resources.

  • Cultivate a strong and transparent working relationship with the Board and ensure open communication about the measurement of financial, programmatic, and impact performance against stated milestones and goals.

  • Evaluate, develop and create working committees on the board to fully leverage the strengths of board members.

  • Responsible for the oversight of the agency’s budget in collaboration with the VP of Finance.

Institutional Advancement

  • Lead and cultivate fundraising and partnership efforts with public sector, foundations, individuals and community organizations.

  • Generate additional capacity at EAC to expand diversity of funding sources and achieve increased development success.

  • Formulate and execute comprehensive marketing, branding and development strategies that will ensure consistency throughout the organization and enhance revenue from major donors, foundations, government agencies, and corporations.

  • Work with marketing to evaluate advertising budget needs, foster creativity and develop comprehensive marketing and PR strategy.

  • Ensure adequate funding that permits EAC to make continuous progress towards the achievement of its mission and that those funds are allocated properly to reflect present needs and future potential.

  • Emphasize data and metrics in order to demonstrate impact and increase ability to fundraise based on the data.

  • Collaborate with organization’s development and marketing staff to create marketing, brand identity and donor communication strategies to increase EAC’s visibility

Management, Systems and Programs

  • Provide inspirational leadership and direction to the senior team, ensuring the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization; establish effective decision-making processes that will enable EAC to achieve its long- and short-term goals and objectives.

  • Oversee program team and ensure delivery of high-quality services while managing for current and future growth.

  • Support and motivate the organization's staff – including personal development & growth plans.Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization; create and promote a positive, multicultural work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization's strategy, operational methods, and data collection needs.

  • Oversee the financial status of the organization including developing long and short range financial plans, monitoring the budget and ensuring sound financial controls are in place; set financial priorities accurately to ensure the organization is operating in a manner that supports the needs of the program and staff.

  • Support program leadership and team members in delivery of absolute best-in-class service that meets the needs of EAC clients and the communities EAC serves

  • Work with executive team to identify metrics by which success and impact is measured; create mechanisms by which data is collected and metrics are measured.

  • Unify the various offices and programs under the EAC umbrella to create a strong sense of team, support and empowerment; emphasize a positive work culture and environment.

  • Increase efficiencies and consistency throughout the organization by developing and implementing standardized programs, services, and program office marketing.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • Minimum of a BA; preferably with an MBA, MPA, or related advanced degree.

  • At least 15 years of overall professional experience.

  • Prior nonprofit experience and management of a multisite organization preferred.

  • Significant board development, fundraising, marketing/branding and fiscal management experience.

  • A financially savvy and politically astute leader with the ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems; keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; an effective consensus builder.

  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills; experience and proclivity to be an outgoing spokesperson, relationship builder, and fundraiser.

  • Strong commitment to the professional development of staff; successful track record of recruiting and retaining a diverse team.

  • Proven leadership in creating and executing upon a clear vision.

  • Excellent management skills that encourage creativity, collaboration, growth and problem-solving.

  • Demonstrated initiative and commitment to achieving and exceeding results; metrics and data-driven leader.

  • Embraces technology and comfortable leading teams in a virtual context when required.
