We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our growing team!

Position Overview:

The C# developer responsible for building C# applications, including anything from back-end services to the client-side counterparts; primarily with a WPF (xaml) UI. Responsibilities include designing and developing applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and quality product is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Translate functional specs and use cases into useful applications.

  • Design, build and maintain efficient and reusable C# code.

  • Design, build and maintain WPF (xaml) UI screens.

  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

  • Support legacy vb.net applications.

  • Creating database schemas that represent and support NRC’s business processes.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least three years’ experience leading the development of an enterprise.

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Proficient in C#, with a good knowledge of its systems.

  • Experience with Agile software development.

  • Familiarity with .NET framework 4.6.2 or higher.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming.

  • Skill for writing reusable C# libraries.

  • Strong understanding of Windows Presentation Framework and MVVM model.

  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns.

  • Familiar with vb.net language to support legacy programs.

  • Experience with popular web application frameworks, such as asp.net.

  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.

  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.

  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Team Foundation and Git.
