Citigroup Associate Applications Support Analyst in Getzville, New York

The Associate Applications Support Analyst is a developing professional role. This role identifies policy and applies specialty knowledge in monitoring and assessing processes and data. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Must be able to exchange information in a concise and logical way as well as be sensitive to audience diversity. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team. Responsibilities: Works under general supervision to obtain a good understanding of apps support procedures and concepts and basic knowledge of other technical areas to support assigned area. Supports the defining of system enhancements to existing applications and their operating environments; assists with process improvements. Formulates and defines scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of business systems and industry standards; documents requirements. Entry-level developing professional role, where work is typically subject to standardized procedures and practices. Executes tasks in support of validation and testing activities, and applies good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Assesses the applicability of previous or similar experiences and evaluates options under circumstances not covered by procedures. Has limited but direct impact on the business through quality of activities provided; impacts team and closely related teams. Communicates through the exchange of information in a concise and logical way. Performs other duties and functions as assigned Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications: Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience 0-2 years experience in a related role Experience of providing Level 2 Technical support Demonstrated analytical skills & attention to detail Positive attitude and keen to learn. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under stress and time constraints Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products. Experience with real-time monitoring systems Job scheduling tools Issue tracking and reporting using tools Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools. Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams Ability to plan and organize workload Demonstrated client facing skills, both verbal and written.
