Alcott HR System Support Administrator in Farmingdale, New York

Reporting to our Director of Information Technology, your day-to-day responsibilities will include maintaining the integrity of the applications and associated system environment, and performing application upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Establish and document standards and procedures

  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and applications

  • Recognize and troubleshoot problems with server and desktop/laptop hardware and applications software

  • Manage desktop and end user support

  • Monitor network and server performance and troubleshoot potential issues

  • Coordinate project work with internal and external consulting resources

  • Train new users on hardware, IT policies and procedures

  • Provide recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting.

  • Maintain production change control schedule and participates in change control.

  • Schedule application installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.

  • Coordinate disk place planning and management, maintain software and hardware inventory, and monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements

You are someone who has:

  • Experience in the operation and administration of Windows Server 2012 through 2019 platforms

  • Knowledge in Windows 10

  • Office 365 and Microsoft Teams Administration

  • An understanding of computer and networking hardware, routing and configuration

  • Active Directory Administration and Windows PowerShell experience

  • Experience with Group Policy Administration

  • Strong customer service focus and skills

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • The ability to work well as part of a team
