The Pastoral Care Chaplain is responsible for developing, organizing and directing activities pertaining to the provision of spiritual support, counsel, guidance and training to hospice patients and families in accordance with hospice philosophy, goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the emotional effects of death, grief and loss and will have the ability to be open, flexible and ecumenical in ministry. This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to the terminally ill for effective interaction with patients and families.
*Minimum Requirements: *
? Master's degree in theology
? Completed CPE and certification through NACC or ACPE required.
? Minimum one year of education/training specific to pastoral care services or an appropriate combination of education/training and experience.
? Willingness to travel to the homes of patient/family and to provide own transportation.
