Fortive Corporation Maitenance Technician in Fairport, New York

Job Duties:

This individual will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all Fairport equipment, property, and grounds, including electrical work.

Complete work requests regularly and perform preventative maintenance, complying with safety standards at all times.

  • Daily visual management board update

  • Preventative Maintenance

  • General machine repair

  • Answer immediate concerns and pages

  • Sidewalk, etc snow removal and salting

  • Lawn care, Landscape and all other outside maintenance needs

  • Bathroom issues

  • Handling off hours urgent matters

  • Electrical repair and installations

  • Capital Improvement projects planning and coordination

  • Outside Contractor coordination and management: (Electrical, HVAC, Data, Production machine repair and replacement, Snow removal, Hoists inspections, Arc Flash and Infrared, etc)


  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a maintenance role preferred

  • Machine repair experience a plus

  • Understanding of preventative maintenance concepts

  • Attention to detail

  • Proven work ethic and positive attitude

  • Ability to work independently and provide tactical suggestions

  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to use various hand and power tools and equipment

  • Industrial electrician certificate a plus!
