Job Description
General Purpose:
Lead strategic initiatives for the business. Responsibilities will focus on conceptualizing and formulating strategic initiatives that meet the company s mission and ensuring the day-to-day activities of the business result in attainment of the strategic goals. This position will be part of the DFA Farm Services leadership team and support national efforts to provide value to dairy farmers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Demonstrate detailed knowledge of DFA Farm supplies operations and business plans.
Lead sales and operational efforts of the business by using management strategies, financial accounting, human resource planning, customer relations, and implementation of new technologies.
Articulate the business unit mission in a clear and concise way that can speak to customers and employees at all levels.
Collaborate with Farm Services senior management to develop effective short- and long-term plans.
Create actionable goals to translate business unit mission into tangible results.
Assess business unit projects from strategy to daily administrative tasks to ensure alignment with DFA Farm Services strategy.
Discover ways to increase revenue by improving efficiency, marketing, sales and operations tactics.
Lead and support Farm Services management in application and implementation of new policies and procedures
Represent business unit at DFA official functions and industry events.
Develop new business opportunities by leveraging internal and external contacts, pursuing new product development, and improving sales and marketing effectiveness.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, policies, and regulations.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in agriculture, management, business administration, finance, or marketing required
Masters of Business Administration preferred
10+ years experience in successful business leadership including strategic planning, business management, corporate leadership, and financial decision-making
Demonstrated proficiency in business analytics, leadership, and strategic planning
Certification and/or License N/A
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional leadership, collaboration, creativity and problem-solving skills
Strong working knowledge of management strategies, financial accounting, human resource planning, customer relations, and implementation of new technologies
Familiar with increasing revenue while maintaining a comprehensive and cohesive brand identity
Comfortable with public speaking and communicating verbally and in writing
Able to multitask with projects, perform data analysis, and coordinate with Farm Services executive team
Willing to challenge status quo thinking with innovative ideas, new approaches, and new solutions
Strong decision-making skills and determination to see projects through to implementation
Self-directed and able to work independently
Able to read, write, and speak English
