Job TitleQuality Control Technician

Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay Rate: Based on experience

Overview:Encompasses the application of various scientific principles from multiple engineering disciplines such as chemical, electrical, electronic, and mechanical, involving structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes. Provides engineering support for job classifications that engage in research and/or product development encompassing one or more engineering disciplines within the Engineering/Manufacturing job family.

  • Responsible for operating and analyzing the variety of inspection processes used at Manufacturing Support.

  • Supporting new system installations, production strategies and plant reliability as well as implementing continuous improvements.

  • Operate an Immersion Ultrasound Inspection System and analyze results

  • Perform thorough visual inspections of product

  • Maintain detailed inspection records for each product

  • Utilize lab equipment such as a stereoscope, confocal microscope, and hardness tester to further analyze samples as needed.

  • Perform verification of calibration and preventative maintenance of equipment

  • Work on continuous improvement projects to increase the capability of the lab

  • Work with engineering to analyze and link issues found in inspection to in-process root causes

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Associates Degree preferred; High School Diploma required

  • 3-5 years of quality contract experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • This position is for a self-driven/self-motivated individual capable of working proficiently, both independently and as part of a team.

  • The successful candidate must have a passion for safety and be able to foster effective working relationships built upon trust and respect within all levels of the organization
