Kforce Technical Program Manager in Brooklyn, New York

Kforce has a client that is looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager with a strong background in platform teams to lead exciting technology changes in an environment of rapid, iterative implementation in Brooklyn, NY.Responsibilities:

  • As the company continues to focus on improving search and discovery experience for its buyers, we are looking for a TPM to play a key role in the Help-Me-Find organization to build best-in-class developer experience for our product engineering and data science teams; Specifically, this TPM will provide support for Search Platform teams to build robust offline evaluation tooling for the search systems and work with engineering, data science and experimentation sciences teams to drive adoption

  • Technical Program Management (or TPM) Team's mission is to empower teams to meet their ambitious goals

  • Ensuring teams have and execute against well-organized, clearly communicated, actionable plans

  • Helping teams establish, iterate, and reflect on their process

  • Furthering the practice of TPM at the company and industry-wide

Project Scope:Project Management:

  • Take initiative on implementing solutions to moderately complex, loosely scoped problems

  • Successfully engage with Engineers, Managers, External Representatives, and/or other partners to plan, track progress, and remove roadblocks

Program Management:

  • Lead efforts to identify and manage intricate dependencies, mitigate risks and issues, and build clear lines of communication across teams

  • Ensure the organization has a consistent and clear voice around goals, priorities, progress, and accomplishments

  • 5 years of proven success in technical project management, at least 3 of which includes hands on experience as part of Scrum or Kanban software development team

  • Be a continuous learner, digging deeper to understand root causes, adapting easily to a continuously evolving environment, while regularly validating that your work aligns to the company's priorities

  • Takes initiative accepting responsibility without presuming authority, and leading with confidence, transparency, and humility

  • An expert communicator with demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to quickly distill core issues into succinct and tailored messages for audiences across all management levels

  • Technically knowledgeable, have a strong understanding of and experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and preferably have some software engineering background
