Avangrid Service Company Analyst - Customer Billing in Binghamton, New York

Responsibilities


Responsibilities
Responsible for administering credit & collections activities, ensuring
customer accounts are billed accurately and handling external and
internal customer requests pertaining to billing detail and rates. May
also help coordinate schedules for Call Center staff and make
adjustments based on call volume, statistical information and emergency
situations.


MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of
responsibilities):

1. Responsible for the review and reconciliation of customer billing
regarding: exception errors, Hilos and/or meter work. Ensures accuracy
of account bills, including residential and commercial customer
accounts.(25%,P)
2. Supports customer services entry and retrieval of CIS system data.
Identifies problems including isolation, resolution, and program changes
or enhancements to CIS. May perform data entry functions for exceptions
to supplement automated process.(25%,P)
3. Assists company counsel in the preparation of collection related
issues. May act as the witness for the company regarding receiverships,
bankruptcies, and other legal matters related credit & collections.

4. May help coordinate schedules for Call Center staff and make
adjustments based on call volume, statistical information and emergency
situations.(10%,S)
5. Updates billing job parameters, OpCo, and Energy Supplier system
tables, sub-ledge accounting data, standby rates, and/or Empire Zone
information.(10%,S)
6. On a project basis, duties may include: business requirements
analysis, prototyping, general design development, creating and
performing test cases, product implementation, verification testing and
production support.(5%,S)



Skills and Requirements


Bachelor's Degree preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience or High School/GED with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience required.
Minimum of 3 years of related customer billing experience.
Working knowledge of customer service and collections policies and practices.


Skills/Abilities


Strong communication skills.
Effective problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong analytical ability.
Able to multi-task.
PC skills, including MS Office Suite.
