Investors Bank Operations Team Lead in Astoria, New York

POSITION OVERVIEW The Operations Team Lead partners with the Branch Managers to provide sound operational guidance and are accountable for the overall operational health of their assigned branches. This position requires remote execution of discrete operational tasks, coaching, and support of branches staff. The incumbent provides and participates in the coaching and sets expectations as outlined by the branch production goals and service standards. The Team Lead assumes operational and escalation, sales & service, and execution of the overall branch strategy responsibility for the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager. Execute the branch plan as defined by the Branch Manager to promote branch growth, customer retention, and achievement of all annual production goals and key objectives. The span on control is dependent on the complexity of the assigned branches with a target range of 5 to 10 branches. RESPONSIBILITIES * Leadership -- The Operations Team Lead will participate in structured coaching in partnership with the Branch Manager and provide daily coaching to the branch staff of the assigned branches as needed. Provides operational oversight and guidance to retail team questions and acts as leadership escalation to resolve customer inquires/complaints and situations in a positive, professional and effective manner. Responsible of staffing and capacity planning in liu of manager absence. The Team Lead will provide leadership in a matrixed environment to approximately 40+ branch staff daily. Maintains strong knowledge of all bank products and services to assist branch employees as required. * Operations -- The Operations Team Lead will provide approval authority according to Investors Bank Policy and assume primary responsibility of the Operational Health of the assigned branches by conducting analysis of key branch reporting, and executing necessary operations tasks on behalf of the branch, such as IEH Decision Review, Aged Trail Balance, Closed Account Exception, Nautilus Consumer Queue Review. * Sales Analytics -- The Operations Team Lead will provide daily review and guidance of the assigned branches sales performance as outlined by the individual branch production standards and MTD/YTD performance towards goals. * Service -- The Operations Team Lead will provide guidance to assigned branch staff as well as be available for customer interactions via the phone when the branch manager is unavailable. * High School education, or equivalent. 3+ Years of banking/finance experience. Superior time management, verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Incumbent may be required to work weekend hours. * Proficient in sales management, including various CRM platforms. Problem Solving self-starter with the ability to create a sense of urgency in a matrixed environment across a wide spectrum of competing deliverables.
