Tokyo Electron Process Engineer I in Albany, New York

*This position is payrolled via payroll processing provider.
This summer internship ideally will work 40 hours per week during the summer and continue in a part time capacity during the school year.
Group/Role Overview:
The Plasma Etch Process Technology Group at TTCA focuses on next generation RIE processes by plasma and thermal etch for use in semiconductor manufacturing. We optimize these processes for advanced front, middle, and back end of the line applications.
Responsibilities:
* Develop new or modify processes and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of semiconductors
* Compile, analyze and summarize test data from the evaluations
* Provide support to engineers working on etch process development as well as improvements to existing products and processes for advanced etch integrations
* Operate metrology tools to qualify process equipment and optimize processes
* Adjust hardware/software parameters to correct issues or execute experiments
* Work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot process/integration problems
* Working with engineers to develop recommendations and prepare changes, additions, and modifications, which will facilitate equipment production and sales
Qualifications:
* Pursuing Undergraduate Degree in: Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry
* Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
* Familiarity with vacuum systems, organic chemistry, and flammable liquids and vapors
* Experience with Statistical Design and Analysis of Experiment methods
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must be fluent in English
* Must be able to work in teams as well as individually
* Ability and desire to work as a part of a multicultural team
